India proposes DMIC fund to Japan
India on Tuesday proposed to Japan setting up of a $9 billion (`40,950 crore) fund for implementation of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project, envisaging a whopping investment of $100 billion.
The proposal was made by commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma when he called on Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan in Tokyo. Sharma proposed the establishment of revolving fund with matching contribution from both countries


Amul to be Dutch teams sponsor in WC
Gujarat based dairy giant Amul on Tuesday said it will be the official sponsor of the cricket team of the Netherlands in the World Cup (WC) that commences on 19 February.
The Royal Netherlands Cricket Board (RNCB) signed the sponsorship deal with Amul on Monday.
Logo of Amul Butter, the brand marketed by Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), will appear on the sleeve of saffron outfits of players as well as on the training kits throughout the World Cup.
Oil retailers hike jet fuel prices by 4%
Staterun oil firms on Tuesday raised jet fuel price by a massive 4%, the ninth straight increase in rates since October.
Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) rates in Delhi have been hiked by `2,104 per kl, or 4.12%, to `53,538 per kl with effect from Tuesday night, an official of Indian Oil Corp. Ltd said.
