Manu Parpia is new MD of Geometric
Geometric Ltd on Friday said its founder and vice chairman Manu Parpia has been appointed as managing director and chief executive officer of the company. Parpia will take over from Ravishankar G., who resigned for personal reasons, a statement issued in Mumbai said.

Henkel to sell assets of haircare divison
Henkel India Ltd has received the requisite majority to sell movable assets and other components of its hair care division, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
On 1 March, Henkel India told BSE it had decided to sell the same and had informed its shareholders that it will be selling them for a minimum of `25 crore.
In a letter dated 4 February, the company said considering the competitive business environment it has become imperative for the company to reorganize and restructure its operations. The products of the Schwarzkopf Profession al Division (SKP Division) are imported and sold in India and the division does not have any immoveable properties and factors.

Manufacturing policy soon: Government

The government on Friday said it will soon unveil a national manufacturing policy, which aims at attracting overseas investments and increase the share of the sector in the economy. “We had completed all inter ministerial and stakeholders consultations. I hope, we will be able to do it soon”, commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma said at an event in New Delhi.
