Finance Glossary


All-Risk Insurance: The broadest form of coverage available, providing protection against all risk of physical loss or damage from any external cause. It does not cover loss or damage due to delay, inherent vice, inadequate packaging or loss of market. 

Bonded Warehouse: It is a warehouse authorized by customs for storage of goods on which payment of duties is deferred until the goods are removed.

CAD (Cash Against Documents): A method of payment for goods in which documents transferring title are given to the buyer upon payment of cash to an intermediary acting for the seller.


Deck Cargo: Cargo carried on deck rather than stowed under deck. On-deck carriage is required for certain commodities, such as explosives.
