Private sector lender HDFC Bank Ltd has appointed three new directors on its board for tenures of eight years each, the bank said in its annual general meeting on Wednesday.
The directors are A.N. Roy, former Mumbai police commissioner, Partha Datta, former executive of the Murugap pa Group and Boby Parikh, senior partner of BMR and Associates, a consulting and auditing firm.
The Bank also said shareholders have approved its proposal for a stock split.
The bank's board had in April proposed a 1:5 stock split.

NCL sells majority stake in project unit
Kolkata based Nicco Corp. Ltd (NCL), a power cable maker, sold a majority stake in the project division of its engineering procurement and construction business to Oriental Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd, for an undisclosed sum, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
NCL director and managing director of Nicco Engineering Services Ltd Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul said the sale will help increase NCL's focus on its cables business.
Indranil Mitra, general manager and company secretary at NCL, said: “The division had a negative net worth and was unable to participate projects tenders”, said over the phone from Kolkata.
