TVS firm buys 60% of Nltin Cylinders

TVS Shriram Growth Fund has invested $11 million in Om Pizzas and Eats India Pvt. Ltd to help the firm open more outlets and enhance its market share in the country.
Om Pizzas and Eats is promoted by Bahrainbased Jawad Business Group (JBG). JBG chairman and chief executive officer Faisal Jawad said his group has worked closely with TVS Capital Funds Ltd, which manages the TVS Shriram Growth Fund, over the last few months.
TVS Shriram Growth Fund has invested $11 million in Om Pizzas and Eats India Pvt. Ltd to help the firm open more outlets and enhance its market share in the country.
Om Pizzas and Eats is promoted by Bahrainbased Jawad Business Group (JBG). JBG chairman and chief executive officer Faisal Jawad said his group has worked closely with TVS Capital Funds Ltd, which manages the TVS Shriram Growth Fund, over the last few months.

Gitanjali Gems acquires Italian firm
Gitanjali Gems Ltd picked up 90% stake in Italy's Glantti Italia SRL, making it a subsidiary of the company.
This acquisition was made through Gitanjali Ventures DMCC, a Dubaibased wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
This acquisition will help Gitanjali grow its branded jewellery business overseas and gain the designing and branding concepts expertise from Italy.

Mahindra to launch new pickup truck
India's largest utility vehicle maker Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd will launch a new pickup truck in above 1.2tonne capacity in the first half of 2011.
“We are working on a lot of models. There will be a pickup on a completely new platform”, said Arun Malhotra, senior vicepresident (sales and customer care). “We plan to bring it in the second half of 2011. It will be positioned near the topend of our commercial vehicle pickup range, with a payload capability of above 1 tonne”.
