In a span of two days, I received two different two job calls from my friends. The was an anxious one looking for openings in companies as she had received an appallingly low increment in exchange for hard work. The other was exuberant friend who had got a whopping jump in her pay package. Yes the mid months every year can be dramatic where careers are concerned. But we need to sail through them and strive to accomplish best for a bright future.
Winning is not the end: Getting a promotion or salary hike should not be our ultimate goal. A good appraisal is always a happy occasion but celebrate with moderation and do not forget the responsibilities which make us stand out. Treble your effort this is just the beginning.
Consistent performance gets applauded everywhere: It spells stability and dependability. A show of good work of every month keeps your seniors’ focus on you, especially it.
Look back every week: No one can judge your work better than you. Look back every week and analyse whether you could have done certain things differently and in a better way.
Don’t be passive: there will be many people who would want to do things their way and try to man or control your work. Do not let them do that. Stand up for yourself. Use your brain to get the job done. Control your life and do not let random people boss you around.
