Canara, HSBC, OBC Life names new CEO
Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Co. Ltd on Tuesday announced the appointment of John Holden as chief executive officer (CEO).
Holden succeeds Harpal Karlcut, who launched the company's business but now has moved back to HSBC Insurance on an overseas assignment, a press release said. Holden has worked with HSBC for over 26 years in banking, marketing and insurance.
The life insurer is a joint venture between Canara Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce and HSBC Insurance (AsiaPacific) Holdings Ltd.

Rahul Maheshwari is new ‘Amar Ujala’ MD
Rajul Maheshwari has been appointed as managing director of Amar Ujala Publications Ltd, publisher of the country's third largest Hindi newspaper, `Amar Ujala'.
The move comes after Atul Maheshwari passed away on January 3 following a brief illness.
Rajul Maheshwari is a graduate of New Delhi 's Shri Ram College of Commerce and has 25 years of experience in newspaper management.
He was a fulltime director of the company and has played a key role in managing the affairs of `Amar Ujala' at Bareilly, Kanpur, Moradabad, Varanasi and Allahabad.

Tatas to set up 3 JVs at aerospace SEZ
Following Tata group chairman Ratan Tata's announcement that Hyderabad will be made its aerospace hub, the company is setting up three joint venture (JV) projects in the aerospace special economic zone (SEZ) at Adibhatla near Hyderabad at an outlay of `1,000 crore.
Nova Integrated Systems for manufacturing radar and electronic equipment for defence, Tata Aerostructures Ltd for assembling of aircraft equipment, and Tata Aerospace Systems Ltd for manufacturing aircraft parts are the three projects.
In setting up the units, the trio will collaborate with overseas partners, who will visit India next month for the Aero Show in Bangalore.
