TCS, SMU tie up for research facility
After HCL Technologies Ltd announced a coinnovation lab with global pharma company Eli Lilly in Singa pore, the country's largest information technology (IT) firm Tata Consultancy Services Ltd has decided to start a research facility in collaboration with the Singapore Management University (SMU). Called the TCSSMU iCity Lab, the $6 million Singapore facility will develop IT frameworks for the emerging intelligent city (iCity) model of urban development.
CIL, Sun Pharma stocks end flat
Shares of staterun Coal India Ltd (CIL) and drugmaker Sun Pharma ceutical Industries Ltd ended on a flat note after these companies entered the coveted league of 30 Sensex companies on Monday, shrugging off the weakness in the broader market. Coal India ended at `392.30, down 0.01% from the previous close, while Sun Pharma settled up 0.04% at `497.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
